Mantra Power

Whether it be to soothe the mind and relax, or manifest abundance, mantras are at the center of it all. I recall a time when I was having a rough year and discovered their healing nature.

It was in a Kundalini Session that I first ran across a chant that truly spoke to my soul. As the teacher chanted, I began balling as if it were speaking directly to me. At the end of the class, I asked the teacher about the words she repeated and told her about my “come to Jesus” moment. Like a prayer, it had brought me back to myself.

She proceeded to recommend a couple of books and resources in case I was interested in doing my own research. Down the rabbit hole I went. It’s been a while since then and like a serendipitous event, anytime I need the aid of a chant, it appears for me.

I’ve also found that it doesn’t have to be a mystic Sanskrit chant to be healing, revealing, or even comforting. Sometimes less is more. A phrase, a word, a specific tune. I’d encourage you to do your own research. If you are needing a recommendation, my current obsession is contained in “Angel’s Prayer” by Ty Burhoe. Om Nama Shivaya for building your energy, clearing your environment, helping you gain control over your senses and give you a sense of direction.

May you find what speaks to you and feel free to chant it!

Enjoy!

To joy & inner peace and until next time,

 Vicky
