Experiencing the Shift

As you get more into your practice and you find your groove, whether it’s gardening, dancing to your favorite music, sitting and watching the waves wash up on the shore, or daily journaling… do whatever it is that brings you inner peace and joy. I think you will find that it isn’t that life’s challenges disappear, but that your perspective has shifted.

Observe how you approach stress. Where do you mentally wander to when you’re not in the present moment, and how do you bring yourself back? Notice how you begin to focus more on what matters and less on the things that don’t make a genuine contribution to your life.

Don’t be afraid to ask yourself what you need and then give it to yourself. Pay close attention to how you feel when you fill your cup. How does your life shift and how do your relationships improve? It’s not that these difficult situations magically disappear, but the unnecessary mental noise around them slowly fades. Be present. Observe.

To joy & inner peace and until next time,

 Vicky
