Resolutions vs Realizations

Right before the end of the year I read something that was one of those things I needed in that moment and thought I’d share. (Please excuse the French.)

“Instead of New Year’s resolutions, let’s have some New Year’s realizations. Because nothing you attempt to change is going to stick if you remain stuck in your same old bullshit.” ~ The Captain

The more I live, the more I understand the importance of discipline, of commitment, of consistency, and of compromise. None of this happens without awareness, honesty, and some (or a lot) of discomfort. Simply, there is no such thing as a free lunch, and everything comes at a price.

So, in 2023, may we be honest with ourselves about where we are at, how we participate in creating our own destiny and give it our all… in spite of the discomfort, the “sacrifice,” the inconveniences, and everything that comes with real change, true alignment and simple integrity. In other words, focus on your integrity. Set your intentions and try to be the best version of you, one foot in front of the other, one day at a time… that’s the true realization.

May this year… we be who we say we are. Cheers to 2023!

To joy & inner peace,

 Vicky
