One Step at a Time

One step at a time, one thing, and then another. 

In a world where multitasking is glorified and being “on the go” is the trend, this concept is a hard sell. But for those of learning to savor the moment, this is a way of life. 

Join me in an experiment (or don’t).

Next time you find yourself in a rush, notice how much time you waste thinking you’re actually saving time. In reality, you had to go back for something you forgot, ran into all the red lights in the world, or actually ended up being late to your destination. 

Now, the following day make a conscious effort to turn it around. Choose to wake up lushly and even stare at the ceiling for 5 minutes. Get up calmly and go through your morning routine mindfully. Bag, sunglasses, computer – check! Out the door you go, with enough time to spare for a quick coffee run, and an early arrival time. 

It’s no joke. This stuff works, I promise. It is like the energy aligns, but I’ll go before I get all “woo woo.”
